Performed by: Markus Hinterhauser, Susanne Otto, Les Percussions de Strasbourg, and Ensemble Experimental. Conducted by Detlef Heusinger. Featured works: A Pierre Dell'azzurro silenzio, inquietum, ... sofferte onde serene... , Omaggio a Gyorgy Kurtag, and Con Luigi Dallapiccola. "Another Nono reference-recording by the unbeatable Experimentalstudio des SWR under the care of Detlef Heusinger, who has been artistic director of this institution since October 2006, and his fantastic team. For the Nono of the 1980s, the absolute centre of his composing resided in listening. From a lecture delivered in 1983 in Geneva, revealingly titled Error as Necessitiy: 'Hearing music. That's very difficult. I believe it's a rare phenomenon today.' All the works that originated in and with the Freiburg Experimentalstudio, are rooted to a considerable extent in a long-term direct collaboration with particular musicians, e.g. Roberto Fabbriciani (flute), Markus Hinterhauser (piano), Ernesto Molinari (clarinet), Susanne Otto (alto) and last but by far not least: Andre Richard, who served as artistic director of the Experimentalstudio from 1989 until 2005." Stereo/multichannel hybrid SACD that can be played on any CD player.
