'The tracks were originally composed as changeover music for Konto-klubi (a small festival held in Rovaniemi) in 2022. The basic idea was that there would be no silence when the audience entered the festival area. So, Intro was the first of four artist changeovers, and Outro was the last.
Parts of these compositions were rediscovered in late 2024 while going through old recordings for another album. The samples found reminded of something unfinished, and after searching through hard drives, the original sessions were located.
The sounds are mostly field recordings and synths (along with some random unknown sounds), processed through effects and tape loops. The tracks were arranged using a send-return loop through a reel-to-reel machine.
Once the original sessions were found, it was essentially just a matter of mastering, as the tracks were simply stereo returns from the reel-to-reel loop. The album was mastered twice—first, with a more mixing-oriented approach by Ville-Matti, and then with the final master by Taylor.'
