This music is an invitation. In a way, these sounds are describing the current landscape, allowing everyone, including the musicians involved, to better know and become aware of the sounds being made here (Taiwan) at this moment in time. As weiii so succinctly commented, “I hope to contribute to a more appreciative, diverse, and inclusive sound environment in Taiwan, where experimental and modular sounds can thrive and be better understood.” There is a tendency for those closest or familiar with something to feel they have a full understanding of it. Our hope is that this collection can provide new perspectives and understanding; both an entry point for the uninitiated as well as a reference for those looking for a deeper understanding of the vibrant modular music community of Taiwan.'
