HANS WERNER HENZE : El Cimarron

おなじみヘンツェの2008年リリースの2CD。
「4人の音楽家のための朗読劇」と副題がつけられた「エル・シマロン」。
「シマロン」とは逃げ出した奴隷のことで、脱走した奴隷だった1860年生まれのエステバン・モンテーホが104歳の時に、キューバの民族学者にしてライターのミゲル・バルネットと行ったインタビューに基づいています。
物語は、モンテーホの独白というかたちで進められていき、つらい労働を強いられた奴隷生活、脱走のこと、隠れるために入った森、森で出会った幽霊、そして女性のこと、喧嘩のことなど、まさにモンテーホの歩んだ波乱万丈の人生が語られていきます。
演奏は、
El Cimarron Ensemble（Angelo de Leonardis: baritone / Gundl Aggermann: flute / Christina Schorn: guitar / Ivan Mancinelli: percussion / Michael Kerstan: artistic director）
で、効果音的なアヴァンギャルドな演奏と、語りのシュプレヒゲザング。
フランク・ザッパやレコメン・ファンにもオススメなサウンドですよ。
