'This is Rie Nakajima's first collection of work.
Nakajima studied art history at Tokyo University of the Arts and sculpture in the UK, and now lives and works in London. Her performances, in which she creates sound by combining found objects with self-made power devices powered by dry cell batteries, and arranges the objects and sound in response to the space, have attracted attention in Europe and Asia.
This book contains photographs of 30 objects selected and photographed by the artist herself, as well as download links to the sounds played by the objects. This is an art book that you can enjoy by flipping through the pages while listening to the sounds.
It also includes an essay by musician/producer David Cunningham and Nakajima's own European tour diary.'
